This report is the result of five months spent as a trainee in the Paris office, French bureau of the pan-European think tank called the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR). This work tries to shed some light on the many issues facing the ECFR, based on the main events assignments during this period. From then on, the dialectical choice focused on the use of this experience as well as the lessons learned, in the service of a broader questioning around the foundations and the nature of the actions carried out by the Paris office during these last months. Against the backdrop of the "European crisis" embodied by the referendum on the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU) and the yes to the British Exit (Brexit), the central role entrusted to the French antenna and its team recently renewed has been significantly strengthened. This unprecedented situation, which is fraught with uncertainty, is a real challenge in the "young" story of the ECFR. ​

Ce rapport est le fruit de cinq mois passés en tant que stagiaire au sein du bureau de Paris, antenne française du think tank paneuropéen nommé Conseil européen des relations internationales ou European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR). En s'appuyant sur les évènements marquants ainsi que les principales missions confiées durant cette période, ce travail tente d'apporter certains éclairages sur les nombreux enjeux auxquels l'ECFR se trouve actuellement confronté. Dès lors, le choix dialectique s'est porté sur la mise à profit de cette expérience ainsi que des enseignements tirés, au service d'un questionnement plus large autour des fondements et de la nature des actions menées par le bureau de Paris durant ces derniers mois. Sur fond de « crise européenne » incarnée par le referendum sur la sortie du Royaume-Uni de l'Union européenne (UE) et le oui au British Exit (Brexit), le rôle central confié à l'antenne française et à son équipe récemment renouvelée s'est vu renforcé de manière significative. Cette conjoncture aussi inédite qu'elle est porteuse d'incertitudes constitue un vrai défi dans la « jeune » histoire de l'ECFR. ​
