Indagine sull'applicazione dell'Intelligenza Artificiale da parte del Project Manager: esplorazione dell'utilizzo, delle sfide e della resistenza al cambiamento

This thesis investigates the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the role of the project manager. The goal of the research is to understand to what extent AI tools are being adopted by project managers, examining both the benefits and challenges related to their implementation. Through a questionnaire directed at project managers, the study explores the resistances encountered in integrating such technologies, the operational difficulties, and the potential opportunities offered by AI. Particular focus is placed on Italian companies, analyzing whether the adoption of AI in project management is already a well-established reality or if it still represents an emerging frontier. The results provide an overview of current trends. Furthermore, the issue of resistance to technological change within organizations is explored in greater depth.

La presente tesi indaga le applicazioni dell'intelligenza artificiale (IA) nel ruolo del project manager. L'obiettivo della ricerca è capire in che misura gli strumenti di IA vengano adottati dai project manager, esaminando sia i benefici che le sfide legate alla loro implementazione. Attraverso un questionario rivolto a project manager si indagano le resistenze incontrate nell'integrazione di tali tecnologie, le difficoltà operative e le potenziali opportunità offerte dall'IA. Un focus particolare è posto sulle aziende italiane, analizzando se l'adozione dell'IA nel project management sia già una realtà consolidata o se rappresenti ancora una frontiera embrionale. I risultati ottenuti forniscono una panoramica delle attuali tendenze. Inoltre, si approfondisce la questione della resistenza al cambiamento tecnologico all'interno delle organizzazioni.
