L'eroismo decadente. Thomas Mann - La morte a Venezia

This thesis will analyse the figure of the author Thomas Mann, the influences in his works and especially one of his best novels: ¿Death In Venice¿. Moreover it will talk about other essays such as ¿the weak heroism¿ and ¿the hero under tension¿ that are related to the Decadentism. Other essays will be anylise too such as the Goethe influence in the Mann's work, Mann's wife testimony and the homonym film by Visconti.

Questa disserazione finale prenderà in analisi la figura di Thomas Mann, le influenze nelle sue opere e si parlerà in particolare della sua opera ¿La morte a Venezia¿. Inoltre verranno affrontati i temi dell'eroismo debole e dell'eroe in tensione, temi cari al Decadentismo. Verranno poi trattati altri argomenti come l'influenza di Goethe nell'opera di Mann, la testimonianza della moglie Katia e la versione cinematografica di Visconti.
