ANTONIO RUBINO, SCRITTORE PER L'INFANZIA Riscoprire l'autore e utilizzare la sua arte per costruire ponti tra ieri e oggi

Antonio Rubino was an all-round artist: writer, illustrator, painter, screenwriter. My work is focused on Rubino as a writer. The first and the second chapters analyze the steps of the artist's life, which led him to be storyteller for children and consider the main themes of his artwork. His aim was to teach with play, as it appears in the didactic series La scuola dei giocattoli and Bibliotechina prescolastica, which I examined in the third chapter. Teaching with play was also the purpose of the teaching experience I had in the Kindergarten and in the Primary School. I used Rubino's booklets to discover if, almost a hundred years later, they could still be interesting educational tools. In the fourth chapter I summarized this experience in the two school levels. Looking at the past has allowed students to reflect on some changes that happened in the course of time, so that bridges between past and present can be built.

Antonio Rubino fu un artista a tutto tondo: scrittore, illustratore, pittore, sceneggiatore. Questo studio si concentra su Rubino scrittore. I primi due capitoli trattano delle tappe della vita che lo hanno condotto alla narrazione per il pubblico dei bambini e dei temi principali delle sue opere. Far sì che i piccoli lettori apprendessero divertendosi era il fine delle collane didattiche La scuola dei giocattoli e Bibliotechina prescolastica, come ho dimostrato nell'analisi del terzo capitolo. Questa è stata anche finalità nella sperimentazione che ho condotto alla Scuola dell'Infanzia e alla Scuola Primaria. Ho utilizzato gli albi di Rubino per verificare se, quasi cento anni più tardi, questi potessero fornire ancora spunti didattici interessanti. Nel quarto capitolo ho sintetizzato la mia esperienza diretta nei due gradi di scuola. Guardare al passato ha permesso agli studenti di cogliere alcuni cambiamenti avvenuti nel corso del tempo costruendo, così, ponti tra ieri e oggi.
