Travel Risk Management

As a consequence of internationalisation, the involvement of enterprises in international markets is becoming increasingly popular. Together with the growth of organisations' interests overseas and development of businesses worldwide, business travel is becoming an essential component for companies which want to better compete in a more than ever globalised world. This trend, together with the consequent increase of health and security related risks have increased the necessity of a new professional figure in companies: Travel risk managers. In this thesis Travel Risk management will be analysed is all its core aspects, including the new European and Italian legislations to regulate this growing phenomenon. The thesis will continue with a short description of the author's one year work experience in this specific sector in a London based consultancy. The Thesis will conclude with some case studies of real life scenarios involving companies struggling with their Travel Risk management assessments.
