This final thesis deals with the Anglicisms which can be found in the semantic field of the Italian publishing industry, distinguishing between norm and usage. The first chapter focuses on the history of both the Italian and the British publishing industries, in order to analyse their characteristics and observe if there was a point of contact between them in the past, which could explain the influence of the English language on the Italian one in this specific semantic field. In the second chapter it is possible to find the linguistic analysis. As regards the norm, Anglicisms are searched in two Italian monolingual dictionaries: the Grande Dizionario Italiano dell'Uso and the Zingarelli 2018; as far as usage is concern, an Italian monolingual corpus is created using websites and blogs related to the publishing world. The Anglicisms concerning the Italian publishing industry are extracted from this corpus and analysed, comparing them with those found in the norm. Finally, the third and last chapter deals with the creation of a glossary, gathering together all the Anglicisms found in the norm and in usage, providing a definition, an example and an Italian equivalent for all of them.

Abstract
Finally, the third and last chapter deals with the creation of a glossary, gathering together all the Anglicisms found in the norm and in usage, providing a definition, an example and an Italian equivalent for all of them.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
