Evoluzione dei castelli scozzesi dal XI al XII secolo

In Scotland there are more than 3,500 castles. The composition focuses on the medieval ones built from the eleventh to the thirteenth century, identifying four main steps in the architecture. In order to explain these steps in an appropriate way six castles have been evaluated, and they were chosen considering the history of the country and also the story of each structure , their geographical location and the family to whom they belong to.

La Scozia è un paese che conta più di 3500 castelli sul suo territorio. L'elaborato si concentra su quelli medievali costruiti dal XI al XIII secolo, individuando quattro passaggi fondamentali nell'architettura. Per poter spiegare nella maniera adeguata questi passaggi sono stati presi i considerazione sei castelli differenti, scelti in base alla storia del paese, alla storia della struttura stessa, alla loro posizione geografica e alla famiglia di appartenenza.
