I complex verbs nelle lingue germaniche: il caso del tedesco e dell'olandese.

This thesis focuses on the concept of productivity which concerns a particular kind of linguistic construction called complex verbs. I chose to investigate this notion within two Germanic languages: German and Dutch. In the first place, I started by exposing the main morphosyntactic features of these type of constructions. Then, I analysed them from the perspective of both notions of separability and productivity; in addition I analysed them while creating new words as well. Next, I gave some detailed information about the morphosyntax of these compounds. Finally, I tried to summarise the historical background and I found out the different path followed by the two types of the construction at issue: separale complex verbs and inseparable complex verbs.

La presente tesi ha lo scopo di analizzare il concetto di produttività presente in costrutti formati da verbi e particelle, definiti complex verbs, all'interno di due lingue germaniche: tedesco ed olandese. Dopo aver affrontato le loro caratteristiche morfosintattiche, si procederà ad un'analisi vera e propria dal punto di vista della separabilità, della produttività e dei neologismi. In seguito fornirò informazioni dettagliate sulla morfosintassi, focalizzandomi su diverse questioni. Infine affronterò un breve excursus diacronico che mi permetterà di illustrare il percorso diverso intrapreso dalle due tipologie principali di questi composti: separable complex verbs e inseparable complex verbs.
