Study of the relationship between language and authority in France, considering the language policy during the Middle Age, the Ancien Régime and in the Revolution of 1789. An investigation of the dictionary as an instrument capable to show the relationship between language and authority, to show how the language reflect the society where it is spoken.

Studio del rapporto tra lingua e potere in Francia, considerante la politica linguistica in epoca medievale, dell'Ancien Régime e durante la Rivoluzione. Analisi del dizionario come strumento atto a esplicitare il rapporto tra lingua e potere, al fine di mostrare come la lingua rifletta la società in cui è parlata.
