In this paper, it has been chosen to analyse the concept of strategic alliances between companies, the benefits and disadvantages of such partnerships and the types of agreements and relationship that can be created. Market globalisation, and the complexity of the economic environment, have prompted strategic alliances. Changes in company culture and business practices boost the emergence of relationships based on collaboration to reach goals that benefit both parties. In the second chapter, the importance of renewable energy sources was discussed as they are crucial for sustainable development. Sustainable growth has a broad and interdisciplinary significance precisely because the aspects around which it revolves are environmental protection, social development, and economic progress. Traditional and renewable energies were analysed, with their positive and negative effects also referring to the current world situation due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has seen a drastic increase in the price of gas and a difficulty for other countries to find a solution. It is thus that even this geopolitical situation is pushing European countries towards a more accelerated sustainable development that is necessary to meet energy needs without damaging the environment too much. The concepts of strategic alliance and sustainable development meet in the third chapter with the analysis of GreenIT, albeit with limitations due to the lack of information history. The joint venture was born from the collaboration between Eni and CDP Equity. The new company was established in Rome, on March 11, 2021, for the development, construction and operation of plants for the production of electricity from renewable sources in Italy. The two projects conceived so far by GreenIT were the acquisition on March 2022 from “Fortore Energy Group”, of the entire portfolio consisting of four active onshore wind fields in Italy with a total capacity of 110 MW and on April 2022 an agreement with CI IV, a fund managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), to build two floating offshore wind farms in Sicily and Sardinia, both located more than 35 kilometres from the coast, with a total capacity of about 750MW. Through the reading of these chapters, developments in the strategy and the commitment of countries to reduce environmental pollution emerge, but it is obvious that a continuous effort is needed from everyone, on the one hand to accelerate and implement each process and meet the targets imposed by the European Union, and on the other hand to improve relations between companies by creating partnerships that can benefit both components without high risks.

Abstract
Through the reading of these chapters, developments in the strategy and the commitment of countries to reduce environmental pollution emerge, but it is obvious that a continuous effort is needed from everyone, on the one hand to accelerate and implement each process and meet the targets imposed by the European Union, and on the other hand to improve relations between companies by creating partnerships that can benefit both components without high risks.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
