OVERTOURISM E PIANI DI GESTIONE DEI FLUSSI TURISTICI IL CASO BARCELLONA E VENEZIA

This dissertation discussed overtourism and the management plans adopted by destinations afflicted by this problem. A more general part was elaborated, in which the fundamental concepts of tourism (tourism definition, overtourism), how a tourist destination is created and all the actors involved were explained and discussed. Then, the causes of overtourism and the impact of tourism on a destination were analyzed. In the second part, two emblematic cases, Venice and Barcelona, were analyzed in detail, explaining the causes brought by this phenomenon to the destination and its residents, and finally the management plans adopted by the various actors and by the World Tourism Organization, to deal with this phenomenon

All'interno di questa tesi viene trattato il tema dell'overtorurism e i piani di gestione adottati dalle destinazioni afflitte da tale problema. È stato elaborato una parte più generale, nella quale sono stati spiegati e tratti i concetti fondamentali del turismo (definizione turismo, overtourism), come nasce una destinazione turistica e tutti gli attori coinvolti. Successivamente, sono state analizzate le cause del sovraffollamento e l'impatto che il turismo genera su una meta. Nella seconda parte sono stati analizzati in modo approfondito due casi emblematici, Venezia e Barcellona, esplicitando le cause portate da tale fenomeno alla destinazione e ai residenti e, infine i piani di gestione adottati dai vari attori e anche dal Organizzazione Mondiale del Turismo, per far fronte a tale fenomeno.
