This work basically discusses the cultural minorities. The key concepts used there are: minority, diversity, identity, culture, language, discrimination, and integration. In particular, the first chapter defines the various key terms and concepts that make minorities, minorities. In the second part, we first focus on the case of Spain and then an example is given based on the Basque people and their sense of independence. Traditions are extolled, but above all there is an introduction of their mysterious language, the Euskera. It is an interesting point to value because it was the cause of many punishments during the dictatorship of Francisco Franco, and it increased the sense of independence and rebellion of the community. Subsequently, discrimination in general is discussed, as well as the related measures and solutions adopted by the various states, especially the ones of the European Union, to try to eliminate these problems at least partially, thus creating a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere. In other words, to make diversity normal. These considerations highlight the negative points that these groups of people, living in other countries, have had to endure, but also the tenacity and strength of will that has enabled them to obtain rights and duties equal to those of the 'majority' population and thus to be integrated into society.
