The three main objectives of this thesis are: to understand which policies have been adopted to solve the problem of co2 emissions, in which way these policies impacted the economy and evaluate if by researching solutions for the environment, these policies brought the right attention to the economic system. The analysis is made of four different chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical introduction of all the microeconomic and macroeconomic notions that are fundamental for this analysis. In particular, notions about the relationship between all the economic agents like governments, companies and citizens , how these agents interact within each other and their reaction to a change of the prices. After the introduction of these fundamental concepts, the second part provides a short analysis on why the co2 is so dangerous in comparison to other gases and which are the costs, that can be linked to the market or not, correlated to pollution. To fix this problem, IPCC will be introduced, describing how it was born, how it has been developed and how it works today. It’s an association that puts its attention only on the problem of climatic change that is mostly caused by co2 emissions. After this general discussion about the co2 problems and the solutions that have been used globally, the third part focuses on Italy, including an accurate analysis starting from Kyoto protocol to the Paris agreement. This analysis tries to explain, starting from these two deals, how the Italian government acted to respect these agreements and the consequences of these policies on public spending, companies, productions and private consumers. In conclusion, after the discussion around the two first questions, which are the policies used and the consequences of them, the focus is on the evaluation of such policies, by using the knowledge and tools that have been developed through this analysis. It is evident, out of this analysis, the relevance of these policies, as well as it emerges that few mistakes were made, most of all in the first period.

Abstract
It is evident, out of this analysis, the relevance of these policies, as well as it emerges that few mistakes were made, most of all in the first period.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
