BLOCKCHAIN and DISTRIBUTED LEDGERS: il futuro della società contemporanea

Over the past few years, the internet, like all the rest of technology, has undergone a more than exponential growth, becoming a reality by now essential and indispensable for any person in the world. Nowadays in fact thanks to this myriad of tools based on the network and on rapid exchange of data and information, it is possible to consult and take advantage of an immense amount of services, without even making the effort to get up from your sofa. Thanks to the network in fact it is now possible to manage one's life in a practical way and to find useful information for virtually any field; it is possible to consult manuals, watching videos, but also booking trips or restaurants, it is possible to buy any type of object, but also choose a safe platform to invest in their savings. In short, the internet is now the basis of sociality and context in which we find ourselves, and the more we go on with the years, the more this evolution will increase visibly. In order to analyze this thesis, it is first necessary to understand the purpose fundamental, towards which we can lead most of the attempts at implementation of a technology / process and innovation: it is an end common to all technologies, the final step that a system aims to achieve, or the automation of all (or most) of the functions of a given process. The more advanced a system is, the more it reduces and simplifies human work. The aim is to make the machines work, in most of the possible areas, because in addition to not working hard, they perform operations much faster of man and with more precision, minimizing the probability of errors or failure of a certain operation. It is precisely through this thesis that I would like to analyze in detail the operation of one of these innovative systems, in my opinion the most advanced and interesting of this historical period: that is the blockchain. I will try to explain on a concrete level the functioning of this system, and to do understand the concrete importance of the technological automation that underlies it. We will see the practical fields in which it is applied / can be applied in the future, finally analyzing the benefits it can bring, but also its limits present on this structure, which today is not yet completely optimized.

Durante il corso degli ultimi anni, internet, come tutto il resto della tecnologia, ha subito una crescita più che esponenziale, diventando una realtà ormai imprescindibile e indispensabile per qualsiasi persona del mondo. Al giorno d’oggi infatti grazie a questa miriade di strumenti basati sulla rete e sullo scambio rapido di dati e informazioni, é possibile consultare e usufruire di una quantità immensa di servizi, senza neanche fare lo sforzo di alzarsi dal proprio divano. Grazie alla rete infatti é ormai possibile gestire in maniera pratica la propria vita e reperire informazioni utili per praticamente qualsiasi ambito; é possibile consultare manuali, guardare video, ma anche prenotare viaggi o ristoranti, é possibile comprare qualsiasi tipo di oggetto, ma anche scegliere una piattaforma sicura su cui investire i propri risparmi .Insomma, internet é ormai alla base della socialità e del contesto in cui ci troviamo, e più andremo avanti con gli anni e più questa evoluzione incrementerà a vista d’occhio. Per poter analizzare questa tesi, è necessario innanzitutto capire lo scopo fondamentale, verso il quale possiamo ricondurre la maggior parte dei tentativi di implementazione di una tecnologia/ processo e di innovazione: esso è un fine comune a tutte le tecnologie, lo step finale che un sistema punta a raggiungere, ovvero l’automatizzazione di tutte (o la maggior parte) le funzioni di un determinato processo.  Più un sistema è all’avanguardia e più riduce e semplifica il lavoro umano.  Si punta a far lavorare le macchine, nella maggior parte degli ambiti possibili, perché esse oltre a non faticare, svolgono operazioni molto più velocemente dell’uomo e con più precisione, riducendo al minimo la probabilità di errori o di insuccesso di una determinata operazione. É proprio attraverso questa tesi infatti che vorrei analizzare in maniera dettagliata il funzionamento di uno di questi sistemi innovativi, a parer mio il più all’avanguardia e interessante di questo periodo storico: ovvero la blockchain. Cercherò di spiegare a livello concreto il funzionamento di questo sistema, e di far capire l’importanza concreta dell’automatizzazione tecnologica che sta alla base di esso. Vedremo i campi pratici in cui é applicata/ si potrà applicare in futuro, analizzandone infine i benefici che può comportare, ma anche i limiti ancora presenti su questa struttura, che al giorno d’oggi non è ancora completamente ottimizzata.
