This thesis will argue how important Data Analysis is for Sustainability nowadays. It will give an overview of the definition of Big Data while discussing what tools are implemented by businesses to pursue the analysis. In particular, the paper will review and give examples of how businesses use data analysis as a support in their decision-making processes. The paper will show how Philips, one of the greatest electronics company based in the Netherlands, tries to achieve its goals of measuring and mitigating its social and environmental impact through an innovative AI tool, Qlik. Insights on the definition of Abatement and Marginal Cost Curve will provide a full overview of the topics. The research will prove that data analysis is helping the planet move towards its CO2 Net Zero by 2050 Goal.
