Questa tesi ha lo scopo di presentare la mia attività di valutazione all’interno del settore in rapida evoluzione delle piattaforme di sviluppo software basate sulla metodologia low-code. In un primo momento, viene introdotto e analizzato il low-code come una metodologia di sviluppo innovativa, confrontando le sue differenze rispetto alle metodologie tradizionali e esaminando i relativi vantaggi e svantaggi nello sviluppo di applicazioni web. Successivamente, il mio approccio ad una specifica piattaforma low-code, Outsystem, viene descritto e analizzato, con particolare attenzione alle sue caratteristiche distintive e alle differenze rispetto ai metodi tradizionali. La tesi continua descrivendo il mio contributo nella creazione di un documento di osservatorio che analizza le piattaforme low-code disponibili sul mercato attuale. Sono poi presentati i risultati delle Proof of Concept eseguite su tre piattaforme selezionate. In conclusione, questa tesi presenta la mia analisi sulle caratteristiche delle piattaforme low-code e sul loro potenziale impatto sullo sviluppo di applicazioni web.
