Per questo lavoro 23 parlanti nativi di persiano sono stati registrati al Laboratorio di Fonetica Sperimentale A. Genre all'Università degli studi di Torino. Sfortunatamente al momento delle registrazioni la cabina insonorizzata non era disponibile perché le autorità accademiche avevano deciso di chiudere il laboratorio per motivi di sicurezza/salute. Le registrazioni potrebbero essere compromesse da qualche rumore di sottofondo. Tra i 23 parlanti registrati, 22 sono provenienti dall'Iran e uno dall'Afghanistan. Ai partecipanti è stato chiesto di leggere un brano proveniente dal libro “Handbook of the International Phonetic Association: A Guide To The Use Of The International Phonetic Alphabet”, spiegarlo con le proprie parole e di leggere una lista di frasi. Quest'ultima tratta dal sito del laboratorio e tradotta al Persiano. Infine è stata svolta un'analisi percettiva dei tratti più evidenti.
