La traduzione della letteratura per l'infanzia: il caso di Else Ury

What is children’s literature? It would seem easy, at first glance, to define this genre. Instead, it is not so obvious. In the dissertation there are historical notes on the development of this type of literature, analysis of the difficulties related to translation of this kind and a presentation of the main figure in this field, namely the translator. Then there is the presentation of the chosen author and a proposal for reading and translation of a collection of short stories, followed by their translation analysis.

Cos'è la letteratura per l'infanzia? Sembrerebbe facile, a primo impatto, definire il genere. Invece non è così scontato. Nella dissertazione sono presenti cenni storici sullo sviluppo di questo tipo di letteratura, analisi delle difficoltà legate alla traduzione di questo genere e una presentazione della figura principale in questo campo, ovvero il traduttore. Vi è poi la presentazione dell'autrice scelta e una proposta di lettura e traduzione di una sua raccolta di racconti, seguiti dalla loro analisi traduttologica.
