Attraversare il gender: desiderio, corpo, identità nel cinema queer

This work is structured into three thematic sections respectively dealing with feminist film theory, gender studies and the development of queer cinema. The issues are addressed through the concepts of desire, body and identity. In this respect, the analysis focuses on the representation of the transgender experience in two selected movies: Tomboy by Céline Sciamma and Laurence Anyways by Xavier Dolan.

Il presente lavoro è strutturato in tre sezioni tematiche legate tra loro da un indissolubile vincolo intersezionale: la teoria filmica femminista, i gender studies e la nascita del cinema queer. Tre sono anche parole chiave che descrivono e analizzano trasversalmente le questioni trattate attraverso i concetti di desiderio, corpo e identità. L’oggetto di studio privilegia in particolare la rappresentazione dell’esperienza trangender in Tomboy di Céline Sciamma e Laurence Anyways di Xavier Dolan.
