Economia internazionale ed internazionalizzazione

International economics is a branch of economics that has intrigued me ever since I started my university career. This is why I wanted to devote myself to the in-depth study of the internationalization strategies of companies. This contribution addresses the concept of internationalization, a process through which companies open up to new foreign markets. The reasons and methods of internationalization of companies will also be explained. Key points in this matter are Adam Smith's concept of asserted advantage, the law of comparative advantage (principle presented by David Ricardo in 1817) that some nations have over other nations in certain sectors, and Heckscher and Ohlin's HO model that complement the Ricardian model. After understanding these fundamental traits of the international economy, internationalization is defined and the related problems and strategies will be exposed.
