This thesis aims to address the impact of domestic violence on the attachment formed between the child and the primary caregiver, usually represented by the mother. Through empirical research and the use of relevant literature, a detailed illustration of the topics will be provided, outlining the consequences and effects that such a situation can have on the emotional bond, the child's development, and the mother herself. The role of social resources will be considered to ensure support and protection from the negative effects of violence. Given the widespread nature of this phenomenon, possible interventions will be outlined to promote and support the well-being of both the mother and the children.

La presente tesi ha l'obiettivo di affrontare l'impatto della violenza domestica sull'attaccamento che si instaura tra il bambino e la figura di riferimento primaria, solitamente rappresentata dalla madre. Attraverso la ricerca empirica e l'utilizzo della letteratura in merito, verrà compiuta un'illustrazione dettagliata dei temi, delineando le conseguenze e gli effetti che tale situazione può comportare al legame affettivo, allo sviluppo del bambino e alla madre stessa. Si terrà conto del ruolo delle risorse sociali per garantire supporto e protezione dagli effetti negativi della violenza e, data l'ampia diffusione di questo fenomeno, verranno delineati dei possibili interventi per promuovere e sostenere il benessere della madre e dei figli.
