Il Timeo agli occhi del giovane Schelling: Fenomeni di ricezione platonica nella Tübingen di fine Settecento

my dissertation focuses in the first part on Schelling, specifically on the youthful education received by him and the influences that shaped it: I will speak of the environment not only family, but also socio-cultural of the time. in fact in the eighteenth century was widespread in southern Germany Swabian pietism and Schelling's father was a follower of the doctrine. we will see how the systems of thought of two of the leading pietists of the time, Oetinger and Hahn, have within them great assonance platonic. In addition, I will try to reconstruct what was the environment of the Stift, the school that Schelling attended, going to highlight what was the image that was at the time of Plato and how it was interpreted. put these bases, in the second and final part of my discussion I will focus on the commentary to the Timaeus of Schelling, giving particular attention to what is the interpretation of an obscure theme of Plato's dialogue, the matter. ​

la mia tesi si concentra nella prima parte su Schelling, nello specifico sulla formazione giovanile ricevuta da questo e sulle influenze che le hanno dato forma: parlerò dunque dell'ambiente non solo famigliare, ma anche socio-culturale dell'epoca. difatti nel Settecento era diffuso nella Germania del sud il pietismo svevo e il padre stesso di Schelling era un seguace della dottrina. si vedrà a tal proposito come i sistemi di pensiero di due dei principali pietisti dell'epoca, Oetinger e Hahn, abbiano al loro interno grandi assonanze platoniche. inoltre cercherò di ricostruire quale ambiente fosse quello dello Stift, scuola che Schelling frequenta, andando a evidenziare qual era l'immagine che si aveva al tempo di Platone e come lo si interpretasse. poste queste basi, nella seconda e ultima parte della mia trattazione mi concentrerò sul commentario al Timeo di Schelling, dando particolare attenzione a quale sia l'interpretazione di una tematica oscura del dialogo platonico; la materia. ​
