This thesis presents the analysis and implementation of a Mixed Reality system with possible applications to areas such as Virtual Production, Teleconferencing, and various scenarios where the real time interaction with a virtual immersive environment is required. The basics of the underlying technology is presented with reference to the state of the art applications and use cases. Some Computer Vision techniques to exclude traditional hardware/software are proposed along with some examples of future improvements. The work takes particular attention to costs so that anyone can experiment and expand the prototype for research/production purposes with the lowest amount of resources possible.

Abstract
This thesis presents the analysis and implementation of a Mixed Reality system with possible applications to areas such as Virtual Production, Teleconferencing, and various scenarios where the real time interaction with a virtual immersive environment is required. The basics of the underlying technology is presented with reference to the state of the art applications and use cases. Some Computer Vision techniques to exclude traditional hardware/software are proposed along with some examples of future improvements. The work takes particular attention to costs so that anyone can experiment and expand the prototype for research/production purposes with the lowest amount of resources possible.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
