La vicenda di Roberto Calvi: analisi di un caso controverso attraverso le pagine dei giornali

The mysterious death of Roberto Calvi, on 18 June 1982, in London, represented one of the most controversial cases of the so-called "prima Repubblica". The aim of this thesis is to analyze how some Italian and British newspapers, at the time of his death, treated the issue. In particular, there are six newspapers under examination chosen on the basis of their political orientation: «La Stampa», «Corriere della Sera» and «L’Unità». As for the British press, I present the examination of «The Times», «The Guardian» and «The Tablet».

La misteriosa morte di Roberto Calvi, il 18 giugno 1982, a Londra, ha rappresentato uno dei casi più controversi della cosiddetta “prima Repubblica”. Scopo di questa tesi è analizzare come alcuni giornali italiani e britannici, all’epoca della sua morte, hanno trattato la questione. In particolare, sono prese in esame sei testate giornalistiche scelte in base al proprio orientamento politico: «La Stampa», il «Corriere della Sera» e «L’Unità». Per quanto riguarda la stampa britannica sono state prese in esame «The Times», «The Guardian» e «The Tablet», una rivista cattolica.
