La filosofia Lean applicata alle piccole-medie imprese

The paper presented here was concerned with the implementation of the Lean Production philosophy, focusing on contexts such as small and medium-sized enterprises. Lean has its roots in the Toyota System Production (TPS) developed by Taiichi Ohno and Eiji Toyoda between the 1940s and 1950s. Over the years, Lean Manufacturing has transcended the automotive and manufacturing sector in which it was born, landing in many other sectors, but always in large industries and companies. The objective of this paper was therefore to analyze the literature that contained examples of an implementation of Lean in small and medium-sized enterprises and therefore how much the size of the company influences this possibility.

L’elaborato qui presentato si è interessato dell’implementazione della filosofia della Lean Production, focalizzando l’attenzione in contesti quali le piccole e medie imprese. La Lean fonda le sue radici nel Toyota System Production (TPS) sviluppato da Taiichi Ohno ed Eiji Toyoda a cavallo tra gli Anni ’40 e ’50. La Lean Manufacturing nel corso degli anni ha trasceso il settore automobilistico e manufatturiero in cui era nato andando ad approdare in molteplici altri settori, però sempre in industrie e aziende di grandi dimensioni. L’obiettivo di questo elaborato è stato quindi di analizzare la letteratura che contenesse esempi di un’implementazione della Lean nelle piccole e medie imprese e quindi quanto la dimensione dell’impresa influisce su questa possibilità.
