So happy together: la cultura alternativa degli hippy ieri e oggi

First, an understanding of the terms culture and counterculture is used to examine the hippie counterculture, its characters and its influence on the 21st century. Second, it is discussed how hippies are still ever-present today, including some communes that have survived over time, as well as cities that are meeting places for hippies old and young. In addition, the various transformations that have taken place from the hippies of the early days to today's hippies are investigated with an examination of the changes in their fashion, themed festivals and in particular the role of the Internet as a new medium to communicate and congregate. In the final part, it is demonstrated that there is still a strong connection between the gatherings which have been the symbol of the hippie movement at its origins, and the festivals and parties in which today's youth participate.

Partendo dalla problematica definizione di cultura nel mondo attuale e dalle controculture, viene analizzata in particolare la controcultura hippy, i suoi caratteri e le sue influenze nel XXI secolo. Viene mostrato come gli hippy siano ancora presenti in tutto il mondo: si possono ancora trovare, infatti, comuni che sono sopravvissute nel tempo, nonché città che sono ancora oggi luoghi di incontro per i vecchi hippy e i giovani neo-hippy, benché esistano delle differenze rispetto al passato. Nell'analizzare la trasformazione di questo movimento nel tempo, viene inoltre presa in considerazione l'importanza di internet come mezzo di comunicazione, come gli hippy sono giudicati oggi e come questa figura è interpretata nella moda e nelle feste a tema nel nostro secolo. Nella parte finale, poi, è dimostrato come ci siano ancora forti legami tra i raduni che hanno caratterizzato l'inizio del movimento hippy e i grandi festival e party a cui partecipano i giovani oggi.
