This thesis will offer an overview of the history of translation, in Chapter 1, considering also multiple translation theories that were developed during history. Chapter 2 will describe fantasy as a genre, giving multiple examples, and also considering its linguistic features. Finally, Chapter 3 contains the proposal of translation of an excerpt from "A Natural History of Dragons" by Marie Brennan and a comment about the translation of the passage.
