Il racconto breve nella letteratura giordana: dalla Nakba ad oggi

The dissertation deals with the itinerary of the short story within the Arabic Modern Literature. It deeply focuses on the development of the genre within the Jordanian Literature from the Nakba to nowdays. It contains an analysis of two stories "A story from the village far away from the city" of Īsā al-Nāʿūrī and "The sieve" of Alī Hussayn Khalifa, translated here for the first time in Italian, to notice the literary and linguistics differences between the generations to whom the writers belong, and to highlight the changes in the use of dialectal structures instead of classical ones.

In questa tesi viene descritto il percorso del racconto breve all'interno del panorama letterario arabo moderno. In particolare si esamina lo sviluppo del genere all'interno della letteratura giordana dagli anni della Nakba ad oggi. Nel corso della ricerca sono analizzate le opere "Una storia dal villaggio lontano dalla città" di Īsā al-Nāʿūrī e "Il setaccio" di ʿAlī Hussayn Khalifa, presentati in questa tesi per la prima volta in traduzione, per osservare le differenze letterarie e linguistiche che sussistono tra le due generazioni a cui appartengono gli autori e per mettere in luce i cambiamenti nell'uso di forme dialettali in sostituzione di quelle classiche.
