La nascita della Scrittura nel Vicino Oriente Antico

This bachelor thesis analyses the evolution of the writing system in the Ancient Near East beginning from its very first steps in Lower Mesopotamia. In the first chapter there is a historical background to better understand how the events played a role in the birth of the writing system. In the second chapter it's analysed the evolution of the graphic system starting from the use of tokens and moving to pictograms, ideograms and cuneiform writing. The last chapter describes the stylus and the writing supports.

Questa tesi di laurea triennale si pone lo scopo di analizzare l'evoluzione della scrittura nel Vicino Oriente Antico fin dai suoi primissimi esordi nella Bassa Mesopotamia. Nel primo capitolo sono presenti alcuni cenni storici al fine di spiegare al meglio che ruolo hanno avuto gli eventi dell'epoca nella nascita della scrittura. Nel secondo capitolo viene affrontata l'evoluzione del sistema grafico a partire dall'uso dei token, per passare ai pittogrammi, agli ideogrammi e infine alla scrittura cuneiforme. Il terzo e ultimo capitolo infine si sofferma sullo stilo e i supporti scrittori.
