This thesis deals with McEwan's Black Dogs and its narrative. The narrator points out that the human soul is characterised by good and evil , and this last one damaged Europe in the past. It is important not to forget about the violence happened in history in order to prevent them from occuring again, just like what has happened in the novel in the form of black dogs.
