Emotion regulation is a key aspect of an individual's life, it involves efforts to modulate emotional arousal in order to facilitate adaptive functioning. Its influence extends from affectives relationships to the social competence and the copying ability, related to scholastic career. Regulation strategies, determined by ¿exibition rules¿ (Ekman, 1984) of emotions, can bring an individual to exagerate, minimize or regulate emotions. Causes of the more or less optimal development of them are divided between intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The subject of this thesis is the survey of the weight of both of them during the development of regulation strategies, to evaluate how much skills in emotion regulation are influenced by inborn temperamental dispositions and how much they are modeled by influence's contexts (like family, school and culture) instead. The ending part of the research is focused on the study of possible remedies to reach an adaptive emotion regulation.

Abstract
The ending part of the research is focused on the study of possible remedies to reach an adaptive emotion regulation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
