IL CONTRATTO A FAVORE DEL TERZO NEL DIRITTO INGLESE

The aim of this thesis is to show the beginning and the operation of contracts for the benefit of a third party as set out in Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Moreover, the thesis analyses third party's position in insurance, especially in Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act 1930 and in Road Traffic Act 1988, and in carriage of goods by sea, especially in Carriage of Goods by Sea Act 1992.

La tesi ha lo scopo di illustrare l'origine ed il funzionamento del contratto a favore del terzo nel diritto inglese come disciplinato dalla legge Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Inoltre, la tesi analizza la posizione del terzo nell'ambito dell'assicurazione, con particolare riguardo al Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act 1930 e al Road Traffic Act 1988, e nell'ambito del trasporto marittimo, con particolare riguardo al Carriage of Goods by Sea Act 1992.
