Néologismes et critères lexicographiques: analyse des principaux dictionnaires français

This thesis aims to analyse the dictionaries of Pierre Richelet, Antoine Furetière, the Académie française, Le Petit Robert and Larousse. The first chapter will present the different historical and cultural scenarios that led to the birth of these dictionaries, as well as their structural and lexical characteristics.In the second chapter, all the criteria that the different lexicographers use to insert new words and the strategies they employ to eliminate terms that are now considered obsolete will be described. In the third chapter, we arrive at the current situation through two fundamental debates, one on inclusive writing and the other on anglicisms taking into consideration the opinions and reactions of the lexicographers of the dictionaries of the French Academy, Le Petit Robert and Larousse.The thesis will end with examples of neologisms from the 2025 editions of the dictionaries Le Petit Robert and Larousse.

Questa tesi si pone come obiettivo l'analisi dei dizionari di Pierre Richelet, Antoine Furetière, dell’Académie française, Le Petit Robert e Larousse. Nel primo capitolo verranno esposti i diversi scenari storici e culturali che hanno portato alla nascita dei suddetti dizionari, nonché le loro caratteristiche strutturali e lessicali.Nel secondo capitolo verranno riportati tutti i criteri che i vari lessicografi utilizzano per inserire nuove parole e le strategie che impiegano per eliminare i termini ormai considerati obsoleti. Si arriva nel terzo capitolo all'attualità attraverso due dibattiti fondamentali, quello sulla scrittura inclusiva e quello sugli anglicismi tenendo conto delle opinioni e delle reazioni dei lessicografi dei dizionari dell'Accademia francese, Le Petit Robert e Larousse.La tesi si concluderà con esempi di neologismi delle edizioni 2025 dei dizionari Le Petit Robert e Larousse.
