The author was motivated to address this topic because they believe the film is a landmark in both cinema and popular culture, capable of addressing deep themes such as identity, social contradictions, and vulnerability hidden behind a superficial facade. Another motivating factor is Audrey Hepburn's iconic influence, not only on cinema but also on fashion, thanks to her collaboration with the designer Hubert de Givenchy, which is a central theme of the thesis. The introductory part of this thesis presents the film’s technical details, plot, and synopsis. Following that, the construction of the film is examined, along with its main themes and the differences between the film and Capote's novel, also analyzing the soundtrack "Moon River" and its historical context. Additionally, the main characters, Paul Varjak and Holly Golightly, are explored, describing their roles, the casting process, and especially aspects of the private lives of the actors George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn. Finally, the focus shifts to Audrey Hepburn’s influence on fashion, both in the film and in the daily lives of women of that era, highlighting her connection with Hubert de Givenchy and the crucial role she played in defining the style of the 1960s and beyond.

La presente tesi analizza il film "Colazione da Tiffany", diretto da Blake Edwards, uscito nel 1961 e basato sull'omonimo romanzo di Truman Capote. Si tratta di un fenomeno cinamotagrafico ma anche popolare. La protagonista di questa tesi è l'attrice Audrey Hepburn, la quale interpreta Holly Golightly. L'autore è stato spinto a trattare questo argomento perché ritiene il film un punto di riferimento per cinema e cultura popolare, capace di affrontare temi profondi come identità, contraddizioni sociali e vulnerabilità nascosta dietro una facciata superficiale. Un altro elemento motivante è l'influenza iconica di Audrey Hepburn, non solo sul cinema ma anche sulla moda, grazie alla sua collaborazione con lo stilista Hubert de Givenchy, tema centrale della tesi.
