Il Servizio Sanitario Nazionale italiano: elementi distintivi, impatto del Covid-19 e la lezione della pandemia.

The paper in question, produced by a student of the Faculty of Economics and International Management of Turin, aims to address a very topical issue: the National Health Service in relation to the advent of the pandemic from Covid-19. Initially, the main features that distinguish our healthcare system, strengths and weaknesses and position within the international scenario are exposed. Subsequently, a series of aspects that have taken on an important role during the management of this pandemic will be analyzed and commented, paying particular attention to the "pre" and "post" pandemic. In conclusion, we will highlight the lessons we have learned from having to face the health emergency, so that we can understand what is needed to change for the future. The general objective is to understand how prepared our country, and therefore our National Health Service, was for the arrival of a worldwide pandemic. To understand this, we will observe the situation in Italy before Covid-19 and then we will analyze the main changes occurred in the biennium 2020-2021.

L’elaborato in questione, prodotto da una studentessa della facoltà di Economia e Management Internazionale di Torino, si pone l’obiettivo di affrontare una tematica molto attuale: il Servizio Sanitario Nazionale in relazione all’avvento della pandemia da Covid-19. Inizialmente vengono esposte le principali caratteristiche che distinguono il nostro sistema sanitario, punti di forza e di debolezza e posizione rispetto allo scenario internazionale. Successivamente verranno analizzati e commentati una serie di aspetti che hanno assunto un ruolo di rilievo durante la gestione di questa pandemia, prestando particolare attenzione al “pre” e “post” pandemia. In conclusione, andremo ad evidenziare gli insegnamenti che abbiamo potuto apprendere trovandoci a dover fronteggiare l’emergenza sanitaria, così da poter capire ciò che è necessario cambiare per il futuro. L’obbiettivo generale è quello di capire quanto fosse preparato il nostro Paese, e quindi il nostro Servizio Sanitario Nazionale, all’arrivo di una pandemia mondiale. Per capirlo, osserveremo la situazione in Italia prima del Covid-19 e poi passeremo ad analizzare i cambiamenti principali avvenuti nel biennio 2020-2021.
