L’Insegnamento Shinnyo attraverso il manga: traduzione e commento di quattro volumi sulla nascita dell’ordine religioso Shinnyo-en.

The translation of the manga series focused on the history and development of the new Shingon religious movement called Shinnyo-en is the conclusion of a study research started in 2017 in Japan and continued later on the Italy. The translation presented here was certainly a great challenge, both as regards the Buddhist terminology and for the use of specific languages ​​of other fields (artistic, legal, medical, just to name a few) but also on the diaphasic level of the language itself, since in the same volume it is possible to find both archaic Japanese and infantile speech. The introduction has as its purpose the framing of the series translated into manga literature (reference will be made above all to works that deal with the Buddhist religion) and the analysis of recurring characteristics, all the more salient, traceable in all four translated volumes, in the hope that this favors a more complete understanding on the part of the reader. In addition, to facilitate reading, there is a glossary in the appendix containing the explanatory notes that can be found in the Italian translation and further terminological details. The translation was inspected and approved by the Shinnyo-en temple in Milan.

La traduzione della serie manga incentrata sulla storia e lo sviluppo del nuovo movimento religioso di matrice Shingon chiamato Shinnyo-en è la conclusione di un percorso di studio avviato nel 2017 sul suolo giapponese e proseguito in seguito su quello italiano. La traduzione qui presentata è stata sicuramente una grande sfida, sia per quanto riguarda la terminologia buddhista sia per l'utilizzo di linguaggi specifici di altri ambiti (artistico, legale, medico, solo per citarne alcuni) ma anche sul piano diafasico della lingua stessa, dal momento che nello stesso volume è possibile ritrovare tanto il giapponese arcaico quanto la parlata infantile. L'introduzione ha come scopo l’inquadramento della serie tradotta nella letteratura manga (si farà riferimento soprattutto a opere che trattano la religione buddhista) e l’analisi di caratteristiche ricorrenti, tanto più salienti, rintracciabili in tutti i quattro volumi tradotti, nella speranza che ciò favorisca una più completa comprensione da parte del lettore. Per facilitare la lettura, inoltre, è presente un glossario in appendice contenente le note esplicative rintracciabili nella traduzione italiana e ulteriori approfondimenti terminologici. La traduzione è stata visionata e approvata dal tempio Shinnyo-en di Milano.
