Rappresentare le emozioni dei santi: il caso delle vite bizantine dei santi coniugi Adriano e Natalia, Galazione e Episteme

The thesis deals with drawing up a comparison of male and female emotional representations in the hagiographies of the holy spouses Adrianos and Natalia, Galaktion and Episteme, framing the case studies through the different female figures of the hagiographic genre present in them and through the comparison with the Hellenistic novel from which the Lives in question seem to draw inspiration for their own themes and gender representations.

La tesi si occupa di redigere un raffronto delle rappresentazioni emotive maschili e femminili nelle agiografie dei santi coniugi Adriano e Natalia, Galazione e Episteme, inquadrando i casi di studio attraverso le differenti figure femminili del genere agiografico in essi presenti e attraverso il confronto con il romanzo ellenistico da cui le Vite in questione sembrano trarre spunto per le proprie tematiche e per le raffigurazioni di genere.
