LA RIABILITAZIONE PSICONUTRIZIONALE NELLA FOOD ADDICTION

The aim of this study was to find a method in the treatment of a new kind of Eating Disorder, named Food Addiction. It is a new scientific discovery that demonstrates the ascendancy of food in neurologic functions, stimulating the production of dopamine in Amigdala and hippocampus. In F&A patients, the overstimulation of dopamine causes disfunctional behaviour as compulsive feeding and craving in absence of food, as in Substance Abuse. The last part of the study examines how to treat this new form of Addiction through pharmacological treatment in association with behavioral therapies as Psycho Education and Psycho Nutrition
