Verso la libertà: Marcuse

This work deals with Herbert Marcuse's theory about how to reach happiness in the modern society. The autor says that the society of his time is very repressive. This kind of society puts limits on the freedom and the happiness of the peaople across its domain. It's goal is its progress and survival. Marcuse wants to break free all the energies prisoned by the alienating work and let that the free-time can rise as a possibility of freedom and happiness. In the last part of this work we will see how Marcuse's theories can be used to think about our present society.

Questo elaborato vuole analizzare la teoria del filosofo Herbert Marcuse nel suo percorso verso la felicità. L'autore descrive come fortemente repressiva la società del suo tempo. Essa limita la libertà e la felicità delle persone con il suo dominio sugli uomini per far si che la civiltà possa sopravvivere e progredire. Marcuse propone di andare a liberare tutte quelle energie imprigionate dal lavoro alienante e insoddisfacente, che caratterizza la società moderna, per dare una valorizzazione del tempo libero e delle attività lavorative-ludiche che andrebbero a svilupparsi in esso. La conclusione di questo lavoro sarà poi osservare come le teorie di Marcuse siano ancora utili oggi, sebbene con alcune modifiche, come spunto di riflessione sulla società moderna.
