Breve indagine sulla ritualità funebre. Crisi e nuove proposte dal Novecento ai giorni nostri.

Death is one of the issues that most affect the life of everyone. It brings a lot of apprehension and questions that undermine the soul of a person who is experiencing grief . Support and answers can be wanted in funeral rituals : for this reason, man of different ages have tried to invest a lot to find effective rites for his survival and that of his group . Sciences and religions , actors in the human story , have collaborated in this research: they have accompanied the human race to the discovery of death in all its aspects . in the late nineteenth century the funeral rituals have facing barriers that have generated a real crisis of rites: in the first part of this short composition I have tried to explain what were the obstacles that have blocked funeral rituals' path from the twentieth century to the present day . In the second part I stressed that , actually , the rituals have not disappeared : they have adapted to the contemporary in which they are immersed , to grasp deep meanings that they bring with themselves, continuing the support work for which they were created in the mists of time.

La morte è uno dei temi che più toccano la vita di ciascun individuo. Essa porta con se tutta una serie di inquietudini e domande che minano la psiche stessa di chi si trova a vivere un lutto. Sostegno e risposte possono essere ricercate nelle ritualità funebri: per questo, l'uomo delle varie epoche ha cercato di investire molto per trovare riti efficaci per la sua sopravvivenza e per quella del suo gruppo. Le scienze e le religioni, protagoniste della storia dell'umanità, hanno collaborato a questa ricerca: con flussi e riflussi hanno accompagnato il genere umano alla scoperta della morte in ogni suo aspetto. Dalla fine dell'Ottocento le ritualità funebri hanno dovuto affrontare barriere che hanno generato quella che è stata definita una vera e propria crisi del rito: nella prima parte di questo breve elaborato ho cercato di illustrare quali siano stati gli ostacoli che hanno fermato il cammino delle ritualità funebri dal Novecento ai giorni nostri. Nella seconda parte ho sottolineato come, nella realtà dei fatti, le ritualità non siano sparite dalla vita dell'uomo: esse si sono adeguate alla contemporaneità nella quale sono immerse, per poter meglio cogliere quei significati profondi che esse portano con sé, continuando quell'opera di sostegno per la quale sono state create nella notte dei tempi.
