Un nuovo paradigma della convivenza: l'Antispecismo

In narratives about the violation of rights of certain Human Animal communities (such as those composed of People living in adverse economic circumstances, Women victims of coercion, those who do not reflect the cis-heteronormative ideology, Black People, etc.), metaphors often draw on the conditions of the struggling survival of Non-Human Animals. On the one hand, this allows everyone to visualize the seriousness of the abuses that some Human Animals are forced to endure, and thus encourages action to prevent such injustices from being perpetrated. On the other hand, however, the activism that will emerge will be oriented towards the Human Question, neglecting the Animal Question instead. In order to make a total Liberation (as it must be to be defined as a true Liberation), it will be necessary to consciously remember that the Absent Referent to which one was comparing oneself. It is for the reasons written above that the great Liberation movements of today, such as Feminist, Queer, Anti-racist, Environmentalist, Labour, and Anti-ableist Movements, should account for the complexity (understood as the union of multiple parts) of the inequities they fight, and therefore use their forces also in the Anti-speciesism battle.

Nelle narrazioni sulla violazione dei diritti di alcune comunità di Animali Umani (come quelle costituite da Persone che vivono in condizioni economiche sfavorevoli, da Donne vittime di costrizioni, di coloro che non riflettono l’ideale ciseteronormativo, dalle Persone nere, ecc.), spesso vengono utilizzate metafore che si rifanno alle condizioni di travagliata sopravvivenza degli Animali Non Umani. Da un lato ciò permette a tuttə di visualizzare la gravità dei soprusi che alcuni Animali Umani sono costretti a subire e, quindi, incita all’azione affinché tali ingiustizie non vengano più perpetrate. Dall’altro, tuttavia, l’attivismo che emergerà sarà orientato alla Questione Umana, tralasciando invece la Questione Animale. Allora, affinché la Liberazione sia totale (come deve essere per potersi definire un’autentica Liberazione) sarà necessario ri-membrare consapevolmente quel referente assente cui ci si stava paragonando. È per quanto scritto sopra che i grandi movimenti di Liberazione di oggi, come ad esempio quelli Femministi, Queer, Antirazzisti, Ecologisti, Sindacalisti, Antiabilisti dovrebbero render conto della complessità (intesa come unione di più parti) delle iniquità che combattono e, dunque, utilizzare le proprie forze anche nella battaglia Antispecista.
