Identità nazionale e risveglio culturale: associazionismo in Italia e in Europa

After an overview upon the history, the culture and the language of Berber people, I focus my research on the recent goings-on in the Maghreb area following that the Berbers had launched a cultural awakening and a series of connected movements intended to achieve the recognition of their language, culture and identity. From the twentieth century have arisen several cultural associations - in the Maghreb countries such as in Europe - involved in activities intent on the promotion of berber culture. After have thrown light on the main associations arisen in the Maghreb area, I delineate my study on the emigration context, analysing the issues of cultural identity and associationism in Europe, especially in Italy and in France.

Dopo aver gettato uno sguardo d'insieme sulla storia, la cultura e la lingua della popolazione berbera, ho focalizzato la mia ricerca sui recenti avvenimenti nell'area del Maghreb in seguito ai quali i Berberi hanno avviato un risveglio culturale e dei relativi movimenti volti ad ottenere il riconoscimento della loro lingua, cultura ed identità. A partire dal XX secolo sono sorte numerose associazioni culturali ¿ nei paesi maghrebini come in Europa - impegnate in attività tese alla promozione della cultura berbera. A tal proposito, dopo aver fatto luce sulle principali associazioni sorte nel Maghreb, ho circoscritto il mio studio nel contesto di emigrazione, analizzando la questione dell'identità culturale e dell'associazionismo in territorio europeo, principalmente in Italia e in Francia.
