La teoria della giustificazione del sistema 20 anni dopo. Ideologie sociali e relazioni intergruppi

The paper aims to expose twenty years of studies and investigations that corroborate the theory of system justification, bringing in particular, researches conducted by its first and strongest supporter, John T. Jost. The first chapter makes a brief reference to social identity theory of Henri Tajfel, to highlight the differences. In the second focuses attention on certain aspects of theory; the function of complementary stereotypes and the non-negligible minority favoritism for the dominant groups. The last chapter summarizes the most recent research in the work of Aleksandra Cichocka and John T. Jost (2014) , which has a its object of study, in particular, the relationship between the lack of support fot the social system and the pessimism that permeates the mentality of the people of the ex communist regimes , in the north-est Europe.

L'elaborato si propone di esporre venti anni di studi ed approfondimenti che corroborano la teoria della giustificazione del sistema, riportando in particolare, ricerche condotte dal suo primo e più forte sostenitore, John T. Jost. Nel primo capitolo si fa un breve accenno alla teoria dell'identità sociale di Henri Tajfel, per evidenziare le differenze. Nel secondo si focalizza l'attenzione su alcuni aspetti della Teoria; la funzione degli stereotipi complementari e il non trascurabile favoritismo delle minoranze per i gruppi dominanti. L'ultimo capitolo riassume la ricerca più recente, a opera di Aleksandra Cichocka e Jost (2014) , che ha per oggetto di studio il rapporto tra lo scarso sostegno al sistema sociale e il pessimismo che impregna la mentalità della popolazione degli ex regimi comunisti, nel nord-est Europa.
