Non più un tabù: educazione all'affettività e alla sessualità nel contesto scolastico. Riflessioni sulla figura dell’educatore professionale

This thesis aims to illustrate the meaning and problems underlying the definition of sexual education and affection, including and focusing on the parental taboo. L.A.PSI, free association psychology, argues that the content of sex education is often based on myths, urban legends or erroneous information. In Italy the topic of sexuality is still a taboo topic resulting in limited understanding. In fact, Italy is among the European countries that have not included compulsory sexual and emotional education in the school curriculum, unlike other countries such as Denmark, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. Sexuality in children is revealed through behaviors of curiosity about differences and exploration of one's body. The study of sexual and emotional education promotes greater understanding, acceptance, awareness, and respect for one's own body and that of others.

La presente tesi ha l'obiettivo di illustrare il significato e le problematiche sottostanti alla definizione di educazione sessuale e affettività, includendo e focalizzandosi sul tabù genitoriale. L.A.PSI, libera associazione psicologia, sostiene che il contenuto dell’ educazione sessuale spesso si basa su miti, leggende metropolitane o informazioni erronee. In Italia la tematica della sessualità è ancora un argomento tabù da cui deriva una limitata comprensione. Infatti, l’Italia è tra i paesi europei a non aver inserito l’obbligatorietà dell’educazione sessuale e affettiva nel curriculum scolastico a differenza di altri paesi come la Danimarca, la Svizzera, la Francia, l’Olanda. La sessualità nei bambini si rivela attraverso comportamenti di curiosità delle differenze ed esplorazione del proprio corpo. Lo studio dell’educazione sessuale e affettiva favorisce una maggiore comprensione, accettazione, consapevolezza, rispetto del corpo proprio e altrui.
