This work is about self-translation. Many studies about it have already been published but we tried to explore another aspect of it: the exploration of the language in Beckett and Huston's works. First, it seemed to us fondamental to summarise its complexity and treasures. As a matter of fact, we tried to determine its main characteristics and to remind that it is a work with a proper status. The rest of the work focuses on Beckett and Huston's bilingual texts Waiting for Godot/ En attendant Godot and Limbes/Limbo. It appears that self-translation can be used to creative ends throughout the creation of a "third" language located in the in-between of the language.

Abstract
This work is about self-translation. Many studies about it have already been published but we tried to explore another aspect of it: the exploration of the language in Beckett and Huston's works. First, it seemed to us fondamental to summarise its complexity and treasures. As a matter of fact, we tried to determine its main characteristics and to remind that it is a work with a proper status. The rest of the work focuses on Beckett and Huston's bilingual texts Waiting for Godot/ En attendant Godot and Limbes/Limbo. It appears that self-translation can be used to creative ends throughout the creation of a "third" language located in the in-between of the language.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
