Under "Asperger's Syndrome", the new DSM-V describes, including the pathology in the macro-category of "autistic spectrum disorder (ASD)" a "serious and persistent deficits in communication and social interactions in a variety of contexts", such as deficits in socio-emotional reciprocity, lack of sharing with others, difficulty interpreting non-verbal communication and in developing, maintaining and understanding relationships. Individuals who have this disorder also show restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior, as are their interests and their activities, stereotyped actions (whether movements, use of objects or manner of speaking), habitual behavior, inflexibility and hypersensitivity to sensory input from the environment. Were found interesting anatomical, neurobiological and neurodevelopmental differences compared to normal subjects, not only related to the deficit and pathological aspects, but also to some extraordinary features, remarkable talents in arts, math, memory and musical skills.
