Analisi edilizia e riqualificazione della borgata Rochemolles in alta Val Susa

The thesis work done during these months had as its purpose to focus on the analysis of various issues of building their alpine village of Rochemolles, in reference to its current site conditions and possible structural measures to be implemented with the purpose of restoration and upgrading of the structure the settlement. It was also analyzed the issue of redevelopment at the local level through the presentation of urban projects and hiking with positive economic and social objectives for both locals and for visitors and tourists. The beginning of the report was centered on a geographical analysis of the overall study, namely the Upper Susa Valley, it have been described physical characteristics, economic and social objectives with particular attention to Bardonecchia , which includes Rochemolles in its own municipal territory.After a brief description of Bardonecchia from the historical point of view, especially tourism, the analysis focused on the valley of Rochemolles, the main area of the project in question; the valley reported at first the most characteristic physical and geographical features, in particular from orographic point of view, but also fauna and flora. Then we talked for the first time Rochemolles and especially from the standpoint of physical and territorial with appropriate references to the areas adjacent to the township, characterized in the past by many pastures and cultivated fields, and even today, numerous wooded areas. In connection with this aspect has been also analyzed the livestock component, defining first the importance and spread of this practice in the past, until you come to analyze its current development within the valley.My relationship continued by describing the most important historical elements that belong to the valley and the village of Rochemolles, particularly dwelling on the origins of the first settlements and the early inhabitants of these territories. It was interesting also carry the relationship between Bardonecchia and Rochemolles that over the centuries has always been very firm and the bearer of very important elements and dynamics that have allowed us to write the history of both the villages. Among the various historical events are mentioned in particular the relationship between Bardonecchia and the territory of the Dauphiné, which, with its Lords extended in Val di Susa in medieval times. My treatment continued with an analysis of Rochemolles building, first with a description of the position of the most emblematic buildings of the town, as the church, the school, the oven, etc. .. integrated with their respective names in the ancient language. With regard to the theme of the road, has been reported the discussion of the ancient "Via d'Archamura", once the only link between Rochemolles and the basin of Bardonecchia, used by the inhabitants down to the valley especially for social and commercial . Then i speak about the architecture of Rochemolles and in the last part, about most important ideas for the riqualification of the Valley, like tematic trips, eco-museum and geological trips.

Il lavoro di tesi svolto durante questi mesi aveva come finalità quella di concentrarsi sull'analisi delle varie tematiche edilizie proprie della borgata alpina di Rochemolles, in riferimento alle sue condizioni architettoniche attuali e ai possibili interventi costruttivi da attuare con finalità di ripristino e riqualificazione della struttura dell'abitato. È stato analizzato anche il tema della riqualificazione a livello territoriale tramite la presentazione di progetti urbanistici ed escursionistici con finalità economiche e sociali positive sia per i locali, sia per i visitatori ed i turisti. E' stata dapprima analizzata una parte fisica della Val Susa e successivamente della Valle di Rochemolles. Dopo un'analisi degli elementi più importanti della valle come la diga, il rifugio "Camillo Scarfiotti" e le molte escursioni che la valle stessa offre, il mio lavoro si è concentrato sull'abitato di Rochemolles dal punto di vista storico, e successivamente dal punto di vista edilizio con un'analisi particolare degli elementi architettonici presenti ed eventuali criteri di recupero effettuati. L'ultima parte della mia relazione si è focalizzata sulla proposta di alcune ipotesi di riqualificazione per la valle stessa. Tra le varie proposte ho riportato: la realizzazione di un sentiero tematico, la riqualificazione di uno o più edifici del paese per adibirli a ecomuseo, la riconversione dei campi attorno al paese per le coltivazioni e ancora la proposta di realizzazione di un sentiero geologico per scoprire importanti resti fossili presenti nella valle, al fine di offrire al luogo delle valide proposte per promuovere attività di tipo turistico-didattico.
