I Bandi campestri del feudo di Cisterna d'Asti

The aim of the dissertion is to illustrate the rural tenders, dating back to 1734, used by the feud of Cisterna (a small town next Asti) with senatorial interim granted in 1735. The rural tenders were the main witness of the small local governments. They contained provisions for ordinary administration and they constitute a regulation of urban and rural police. The rural tenders, subdivided into chapters, protected the various aspects of agriculture (forests, pastures, meadows, water, vegetables, plants..) they consisted of numerous articles and a fine (just a fine) corresponded to each of them. But in some cases, the community of Cisterna could criminally prosecute offenders. The reading and analysis of these rural tenders let us know some aspects of daily life at that time mainly governed by the rhythm of the seasons and by the agricultural work.
