La riabilitazione uditiva del paziente affetto da sordità asimmetrica mediante stimolazione bimodale:risultati audiologici

The objective of this study is demonstrated that subjects with asymmetrical hearing loss, who are unable to derive significant benefits from the amplification of the hearing aid in the “worse” ear, a flare placement surgery for the realization of a bimodal trend can be a considerable benefit, particulary for the aspects considered in this study. Therefore, their speech intelligibility performance in noise improves. At least one binaural advantage was found for each of the partecipants, and the degree of benefit obtained reflected intersubjective variability

L'obiettivo di questo studio è dimostrare come nei soggetti affetti da ipoacusia asimmetrica, con scarsi benefici dall' applicazione protesica, il posizionamento di un impianto cocleare nell'orecchio peggiore, possa dare un notevole beneficio. Grazie alla stimolazione bimodale, vengono così garantite prestazioni con migliore intelligibilità del parlato nel rumore.
