E' stata svolta un' analisi di quattro film dichiaratamente fascisti volta a stabilire l'uso strumentale che il regime ha fatto del mezzo cinematografico dal 1923 al 1934. Un' indagine sui registi e il loro lavoro dietro la macchina da presa; Un' osservazione sui temi trattati e il rapporto, talvolta ambivalente, con il fascismo, senza tralasciare il giudizio della stampa e le critiche del tempo, testimonianze del successo in patria e del lancio propagandistico all' estero.
